DESCRIPTION
Quinine sulfate occurs as a white, crystalline powder, which darkens on exposure to light. It is odorless and has a persistent, very bitter taste. It is slightly soluble in water, alcohol, chloroform, and ether and has the following molecular formula: (C20H24N2O2)2 • H2SO4 • 2H2O and the following molecular weight: 782.96.
Each tablet for oral administration contains 260 mg quinine sulfate.
Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, dibasic calcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone and sodium starch glycolate.
Each capsule for oral administration contains 200 mg or 325 mg quinine sulfate.
Inactive ingredients: gelatin, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch and talc.
