Deconamine Indications, Dosage, Storage, Stability - Guaifenesin; Hydrocodone; Pseudoephedrine
INDICATIONS
For exhausting, nonproductive cough accompanying respiratory tract congestion associated with the common cold, sinusitis and bronchitis.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
This combination expectorant is administered orally. The usual doses are: Adults: 5 ml(1 teaspoonful) every 4-6 hours. Children: 6-12 years of age: 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) every 4-6 hours. May be given four times a day as needed. May be taken with meals.
HOW SUPPLIED
Hydrocodone bitartrate: 2.5 mg
Pseudoephedrine HCL: 30 mg
Guaifenesin: 100 mg per 5 ml (480 ml, 3785 ml) (contains alcohol;fruit punch flavor)
Storage: Store at controlled room temperature, 15°-30°C (59°-86°F). Dispense in a tight, light-resistant container as described in USP.
